Dr. Nishanth Dongari

Dr. Nishanth Dongari, An engineer first, entrepreneur next. He is the founder and managing director of PURE (PuR Energy Ltd.), a pioneering Indian company with a vision to become a global leader in battery energy storage systems and electric mobility. He also serves as an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, through which he has closely worked with DRDO on various mission critical projects for the Nation.
Dongari earned his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2007. Later, he worked as an Application Engineer at TSE Troller AG (Germany) until March 2009 and further moved to the United Kingdom after receiving the prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship under European Commission FP7 programme, and obtained Ph. D. in 2012 from Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, UK.

With a career spanning across renewable energy, engineering, oil and gas, and electric mobility sectors, Rohit has played a pivotal role in shaping India's clean technology landscape through a combination of engineering expertise and strategic leadership.
Rohit holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. He later earned a Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) from the Indian School of Business (ISB), specializing in finance and operations. In addition to his academic credentials, he is certified in project management (PMP) and advanced FEM tools such as ABAQUS and ORCAFLEX.
