Thermal Management Design of Lithium batteries is a holistic problem involving multiple parameters, including electronics, sensors, packaging, and software. One of the most important aspects is the in-situ Heat Removal Mechanism at the cell level.
While there are multiple approaches, including liquid cooling or external forced air convection cooling, it does not adequately solve for the heat removal at the generation itself, viz, the cells, causing faster degradation.
PURE R&D has worked extensively over the years to develop an ideal solution through Nano particles based on Phase Change Materials (PCM), which ensures heat removal at the cell level. With a much higher latent capacity, this ensures optimized thermal performance, higher charge retention capacity leading to extended lifecycles and superior safety.
