Looking at a histogram of Frequency of Power Outages v/s Time Duration of such outages, it is clear that BESS is now capable of covering a wide range of SLA.

While for certain extreme edge cases in critical applications and for redundancy purposes, Diesel Genset Complementarity may still be needed.

But for the majority of use cases today, BESS can provide reliable power and comfort to the end user with fast changeover time.

The high operational costs associated with maintenance and fuel replenishment associated with Diesel Gensets can be overcome by BESS.

Further, in areas with historically low quality AQI, it is even more appropriate to evaluate considering only BESS as a source of power backup.
