Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about this topic.

Is PuREPower a Made in India brand?

Yes. PuREPower is designed, developed and manufactured in India by PUR Energy Ltd., a company incubated at IIT Hyderabad. The system design, the Nano PCM thermal management, the fifth generation BMS, the integration of battery, inverter and solar controller, the PURE Cloud AI platform and the installation and service network are all developed and managed in India. Like almost every Indian storage brand today, we source lithium cells from global Tier-1 cell manufacturers, and we test and select them against Indian duty cycles.

Why does it matter where a battery system is designed if the cells are imported anyway?

Because the cell is only one of seven layers. The pack design, thermal management, BMS, power electronics, integration, software and service decide how the system performs in Indian heat, how it handles surge loads like ACs and motors, how long it lasts and how quickly problems are fixed. A system designed abroad for mild climates and gentle loads can perform very differently in an Indian utility room at 45°C.

Does PuREPower use NMC or LFP chemistry?

PuREPower uses NMC chemistry across its entire range, from 3 kVA to 120 kVA. NMC offers higher energy density and better surge and high-rate performance, which suits India's short, frequent outages and high-inrush loads. It is paired with indigenous Nano PCM thermal management and a fifth generation AI BMS, which together have delivered zero thermal incidents across more than seven years of field deployment.

What is the status of India's battery cell manufacturing?

The government's PLI scheme for Advanced Chemistry Cells, with an outlay of ₹18,100 crore, targets 50 GWh of domestic cell capacity. Progress has been slower than planned, with IEEFA reporting in January 2026 that about 2.8 percent of the target had been commissioned within the original timeline. Domestic cell supply will grow over the coming years, and Indian system makers will be among its first users.

What warranty does PuREPower offer?

PuREPower offers a 5-year standard warranty, extendable up to 12 years. The warranty is provided by the manufacturer, not only the reseller, and it is backed by the design choices that decide battery life: NMC chemistry, Nano PCM thermal management, a fifth generation BMS and factory integration.
